My 32nd Birthday

Monday night I had a girls' night out with my sweet friends at Giovanni's, which is very good and very inexpensive. Thanks girls, for a fun night and great presents!!!

Okay, many of you know my "iris" story. If you don't, go back to the "archive" blogs, click on "2007" and scroll down to "September 24, 2007" entitled "The Iris." It is a poem I wrote about my mom, and the iris was her favorite flower. Well, this year I've been looking for that one iris in my backyard everyday and had not seen it. I knew that last year it bloomed around my birthday. Well, we left for Meridian on Friday and it was not there. Monday morning (on my birthday) I went out to the van to get something and there it was the same place it was last year and only one. It took my breath away. I took a picture of it before the boys destroyed it. I think it was my birthday present from my mom letting me know that she was thinking of me!

The Lord is so good to give us hugs from Him. That just shows us that he thinks about our every need. I had a great time at your birthday dinner...thanks for the invite:)

Sha, Memories of our parents are a great gift. I miss Daddy so much....just like I know you miss your mother. We as parents have to make memories for our children. I know you had a good teacher at that in your mother. As you know, we are never guaranteed tomorrow. We have to make the MOST of today. Yet, we can't worry about tomorrow, as that takes some of the joy out of today. (That's a hard thing to do!)
Happy Late Birthday, Renee and Buster
