At Papa's ballgames

This weekend me and the boys went home to see a couple of Papa's baseball games. We (West Lauderdale Knights) won both of our games we played in the pre-season county tournament. The boys love running the bases when the game is over. Graham couldn't stand looking at Papa through the fence. He wanted Papa to hold him. They also love going in "the building" (indoor batting cage) and hitting balls off the tee. We had a great visit with Papa and went to church with him on Sunday. Garrett says he likes Papa's church!

Saturday night at the Rodeo

Last Saturday night we went to the Dixie National Rodeo at the coliseum. It was so much fun. We went with KK and Papaw, and the boys loved it. We went to the 8:00 show and got home at midnight. The boys fell asleep on the way home. We had to stay to the end because Garrett wanted to see the bull riding, and of course, it was last. The entertainment was Marty Stuart, and the boys enjoyed going to the floor and dancing. I haven't been to the rodeo since I was about 12. Does that mean that I am a redneck if I enjoyed the rodeo??? Oh, well, I'll admit it - I am a country girl!!!

We have a new pet....

Putting in the rocks
Feeding the fish
Graham wanted to see the fish
Garrett and Dory Yay-Yay

Last night we went to PetSmart with the boys to buy Jensen some dog food and we came home with a fish. We bought a blue Betta fish that Garrett named Dory Yay-Yay. (Dory from "Nemo" and "Yay-Yay" because Garrett still refers to himself as this, sometimes.) Last night his name was Dory and this morning his name was Dory Yay-Yay. We got home last night and Garrett couldn't wait to get his fish in the bowl and feed him. We bought Dory Yay-Yay some rocks, grass, a bowl and food. They were so funny last night. Garrett keeps saying that his fish is "hunny," so that he can feed him. Needless to say we are going to keep the fish food out of reach of our children's little hands. Any bets on how long we'll have this fish in our family???
